Girl & Dug's Thanksgiving Box makes classic sides with modern ingredients. Box comes with all the vegetables required to cook up the most unique variation of traditional Thanksgiving sides. This year, we are teaming up with Butcher Girls to round out your meal with the Roll Royce of Thanksgiving turkey - the Kelly Bronze. Raised slowly and consciously in Crozet, Virginia, it's a truly one of a kind experience that matches our one of a kind vegetables.

Kelly Bronze Turkey (13-14lb)
These old ladies are raised slowwwwwly. They’re twice the age of conventional turkeys and eat and forage 30% more food. They’re also raised with lots of space and care - think about it: conventional birds are raised roughly 16,000 turkeys PER ACRE. At Kelly Bronze in Crozet, there are only 500 birds per acre.
After slaughter, the birds are hand plucked. Commercial turkeys are plucked using a ton of forceful water (both wasteful and contributes to the expedited spoilage of the meat). Hand plucking is better for the bird and the planet! After they’re plucked, the folks at KB hand the birds for at least 7 days, which results in a more tender bird with a more condensed turkey flavor.
Never again will turkey be an after thought at Thanksgiving!
